The many types of legal texts which often need to be translated include articles of association, deeds, contracts, court decrees, and excerpts from the commercial register. Thanks to many years’ experience in translating legal texts, not to mention attending several training courses, I have acquired an in-depth knowledge of German legalese and various legal systems. Thorough research on specialist terms and the relevant legal circumstances in the country concerned are part and parcel of any legal translation. If there are any remaining ambiguities, the next step is to consult the client or (with the client’s permission) other legal experts.

Being a sworn translator certified by Dresden Higher Regional Court for French and Spanish, I can also produce certified translations of official documents.

MediCINE

One of my specialist fields is medicine, including clinical trials, doctoral theses and medical reports.

Mind you, just like doctors, it’s impossible for a translator to do justice to every single area of medicine. Therefore, please get in touch to find out whether I can help you – or ideally, send me the text you need translated. I’ll ‘diagnose’ it and let you know whether I can ‘treat’ it myself – or need to refer it to another specialist!

I can also help you if you fall ill while on holiday and your hospital report needs to be translated for your doctor – or your insurer demands a translation of your medical invoice. Mail-order catalogues, online collections, mailshots and product information: the world of fashion translations is just as varied as the world of fashion! Fashion’s not merely a question of knowing all about fabrics, cuts and production, for the next step – selling the finished garments to customers – is just as important. And this requires catchy copywriting matching the target culture. Moreover, in online fashion retail in particular, attention needs to be paid to SEO criteria.

I apply my extensive experience in fashion translation both to the ‘material’ and to ‘tailoring’ advertising messages. Your texts will be translated by me in a manner suitable for the target group – from children’s fashion to home collections.

High-volume translations are dealt with in conjunction with wiesemann translations.
